DIAMOND PLEAT RULER Tutorial

Using your DIAMOND Pleat Ruler

Step 1:  Cut double sided pattern paper the same size as the template

Step 2:  Trace off the Diamond Template

Step 3:  Using a craft knife and ruler, Cut out the slits.  
Step 3b:  Optional INK if you want, NOW ! 

Step 4:  Starting at bottom, fold over bottom fold forward.

Step 5:  Skip one and fold the next fold over again.

Step 6: Tuck this fold into your first fold

Step 7:  Continue all the way along, until you done.

Step 8:  Adhere to matching pattern or cardstock so the pattern is displayed

Step 9:  Decorate with bling, flowers, etc.  Add to layouts.

Cutting Guide

Use one FULL SHEET of 12” x 12” pattern paper

·          Score at 12,5cm horizontally from top and bottom edge.

·          Then Score at 6cm vertically from left and right edge.

·          NOW, as per sketch 2, measure 6cm from your two inner lines and score upwards. These are now your inner flaps. 

·          Fold inwards and adhere these to the inner body of your bag.  Your bag will now have its outer FORM.

DECOR

·     CUT TWO 18,5cm x 6cm CONTRAST pattern (my BLACK), score at 3cm along length and adhere to top of bag.  Outlined mine in white pen.

·          Punch holes and put ribbon through for handles.

·          Cut a slit along top edge of one side about 3,5cm wide.

·          Cut a CONTRAST pattern to 22cm x 2,5cm (my STRIPE)  Thread through the slit and adhere together to make a Strap.  Thread through your buckle and adhere with Velcro / pop dot to front of card.

KIDS CLASS: 4 December

I hosted a KIDS CLASS on 4 December for 8 lovely young ladies who wanted to learn how to make an EXPLODING BOX.  They all had so much fun and really got super creative with their boxes.
